If you use your HP printer on a regular basic, you are aware of how much money ink cartridges can cost you over the span of a year or so. There are however a few things you can do that will help you to save a considerable amount of money.
First, take care to print only what is necessary. Instead of unnecessarily printing an entire web page, print only the portion that you need as most web pages include heavy graphics that take a lot of ink to print.
No matter what type of cartridge you use, be it the HP 377 ink cartridge or the HP 22 or HP 57, be sure to print something out at least once per week. This is stop the cartridge from drying up which will greatly extend the life of the cartridge. It is also a good idea to always turn your printer off when not using it. If you leave it on, the print heads will be exposed to air which causes the ink to dry in the nozzles. This could negatively affect the printing as well as force you to buy a replacement cartridge very often.
When it comes time to replace your cartridge you can find some great deals online. There are numerous websites that sell the most popular replacements such as the HP 21 cartridge or the HP 22, but it is also quite easy to find replacements for the older models of HP printers as well.
