My husband is looking for a new job. He works in quite a specific industry and it is therefore not easy to find work. The emi shielding business is not massive in the area where we live and so it is likely that if he wants a new job, still in the thin film coating area, then we will have to move. I am worried about this because I have a job and the children are settled well in school and so the idea of having to move everyone is not a good one. However, he is very unhappy in his work at the moment. He has been in the same role for a very long time and there is no room for promotion anywhere in his company and it does not look like there ever will be.

I think that he feels that he deserves a better role and that his years of experience mean that he should be doing a lot better than he is. I think that he is right and it is very sad to see him so unhappy. I am hoping that he might decide to try a new industry which is local to us as although there may be a cut in salary, it will mean that the rest of us do not have to change our happy lives.
